Hughes Architects opens the door to their new Ceredigion office

We have a new office in Aberystwyth! After many years and due to the need for more space due to the expansion of Hughes Architects in Ceredigion, we have moved to a new office.

This week our new address for Ceredigion is Y Lanfa at Aberystwyth Marina.

The inspiring location is not just about the sea views. The move allows us to offer our team and clients more space to meet, work and plan some great building designs for our clients in Ceredigion and into West and North Wales.

The move follows our expansion in Welshpool earlier this year. We acquired a former shop and accommodation in Berriew Street which has been carefully renovated and remodelled.

Part of our ongoing investment in architectural services

Our Welshpool office serves north Powys, Shropshire and North Wales and the surrounding areas.

Meanwhile, our office in Newtown remains our HQ and serves mid and south Powys, Herefordshire and South Wales.

“2020 and 2021 has been a surreal year. As a local business and architect’s practice we adapted our working practices. This has ensured ‘business as usual’ and we’ve seen an increase in work from domestic and commercial clients,” said Doug Hughes, Principal Architect and Managing Director at Hughes Architetcs.

SuDS drainage survey and planning services

“We’ve also expanded with new staff, allowing us to grow our business into specialist areas such as drainage surveying and design for SuDS – Sustainable Drainage Systems. This ensures we can offer our clients a true one-stop shop service from design to planning and completion.

As always, if you have an enquiry about a planning or architectural building design project, drop a line to our team. Email enquiries@hughesarchitects.co.uk or call one of our offices by phone.

We’re working within the Welsh Government’s Covid-19 restrictions which means some of our team are working from our offices and others from home. We can arrange site visits or meetings at our offices that our compliant with these restrictions.

We’ve also appointed a dedicated energy consultant who is working with us to ensure we design and deliver the most energy efficient buildings possible, such as Passivhaus standard homes. This is also part of our commitment to RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge.
