Home Projects Retail convenience store

Our client wanted to completely transform and modernise their existing supermarket and petrol forecourt.

The existing building housed a car showroom that had had been converted into a small shop. The remainder of the building was used as a car workshop and repair station.

The structure was in need of significant repairs and our brief was to design and create a totally new building that would house a modern and much larger village supermarket.

Our design was to create a large open space for retail use with additional offices and storage areas.

The final design and building involved creating a structure that faced a different way to the original building. This created a much-improved entrance for customers, with parking spaces and improved access to the petrol forecourt.

The interior had to be light, airy and practical, while externally we used timber cladding to create a soft and friendly exterior that was in keeping with the village centre and local countryside.
