Home Projects National Botanic Garden of Wales

The botanic gardens wanted to expand their on-site teaching facilities, and to use this as an opportunity to incorporate locally sourced and made materials and building systems.

We collaborated with Elements and Kenton Jones to use the Ty Unnos construction method , a timber system allowing fast erection on site and water tightness in short order. The system was developed in Wales and incorporates Welsh timber. The project was used as an exemplar to develop a modular classroom system.
